Chris Delpratt is a Melbourne based artist who works, mostly in the landscape genre, “en plein air”.

Since completing a Bachelor of Art at RMIT, Chris has exhibited her work extensively around Australia, in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland where she was based for several years.

In recent years her works have been selected for inclusion in the Norvill Art Prize; Fleurieu Art Prize, SA; R&M McGivern Art Prize, Melbourne (twice); the Darebin LaTrobe Art Prize, Melbourne and the Paddington Art Prize, Sydney.
Her work is held in a number of collections including the Toowoomba Regional Gallery and Maroondah City collection.

“My inspiration has been drawn from the many varied landscapes I've seen as I’ve travelled in Australia, and my most recent paintings are about the kilometre of semi-rural countryside along one road, 25 kilometres from home.
By returning to the same place over the last 6 or 7 years I’ve tried to capture the mood and sense of this place as a living changing entity.”
